If you are not attending Remembrance Day ceremonies in New Westminster (please reconsider), then you’ll at least want to remember (pun intended) to avoid a road closure on Sunday morning.
Royal Avenue in New West will be closed from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Sunday. (See the attached map)
All westbound truck traffic will be diverted to 10 Avenue via Braid Street/8 Avenue and McBride boulevard.
Eastbound truck traffic will be diverted to Byrne Road and onto 10 Avenue.

Major construction at Front Street and Columbia Street continues.
Use alternate traffic routes to avoid delays. Large westbound trucks should use the 10 Avenue detour (via Braid Street and 8 Avenue) to avoid steep grades and congestion at McBride Street and Royal Avenue. (See the attached map)
