1. Say goodbye to the animals that call the Queen’s Park Petting Farm home each year from Victoria Day to Labour Day. This is the last weekend to visit the goats, bunnies and other creatures who will be heading to their winter homes next week.

2. Enjoy a dip in one of the city’s outdoor pools before they close for the summer. Hume Park and Moody Park are home to the city’s two outdoor pools, while Grimston Park has a wading pool for little ones.

3. Have some laughs at Lafflines Comedy Club, where Jono Zalay headlines on Friday, Aug. 30 and Saturday, Aug. 31. Now residing in Los Angeles where he’s written comedy for Fox, Amazon and Comedy Central, Zalay has been named as one of Comedy Central’s comics to watch. Tickets and details at www.lafflines.com.

4. Breeze on down to the New Media Gallery to see Winds, the latest exhibit showcasing works by four international artists. Winds, which features landscapes captured, interpreted and presented through technology, runs until Sept. 29. The New Media Gallery, located in Anvil Centre at 777 Columbia St., is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays.

5. Take a seat and watch some live entertainment at Uptown Live. Performances take place near Sixth Street and Sixth Avenue on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday features Nova Sol, with bossa nova, samba, jazz, funk, R&B and more, noon to 2 p.m. outside Westminster Cetnre (555 Sixth St.) and noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Royal City Centre.
