It turns out that COVID-19 can kill the Christmas spirit.

At least in Burnaby, where a Christmas tradition has been cancelled due to a new provincial health order from provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry.

Heritage Christmas at the Burnaby Village Museum, presented by Concord Pacific, was set to return beginning this Saturday, Nov. 21, with light displays and historical exhibits in the 1920s village.

Heritage Christmas normally runs until Jan. 1, 2021. The message from the City of Burnaby said "until further notice," so perhaps it can be run on a shorter-term basis at some point.
