How did you spend your holiday Monday morning?
Probably by sleeping in – still in a turkey-induced coma after that decadent Thanksgiving dinner.
Members of the Burnaby RCMP’s traffic enforcement unit, however, didn’t get to sleep in because they were too busy trying to keep our streets safe from reckless drivers.
According to the RCMP, officers were out early this morning conducting a “sobriety roadblock” that resulted in taking one impaired driver off the streets. Police had the vehicle towed away.
With more Burnaby residents expected to continue partying today (Monday), expect traffic officers to be out again in force.
And while you’re giving thanks, give thanks to these officers for doing their job.
