Editor:
As a cyclist and a driver, I am shocked at the lack of good driving habits in Burnaby.
As I ride behind or close by cars, I become confused when I see drivers blithely ignore stop signs, fail to signal or indicate in some way to other drivers and cyclists on the road their intentions to pass or turn and a failure to stop red lights.
Does the pandemic give us free licence to drive badly?
Did the Motor Vehicle Act change and I didn’t note these changes? Time to step up to the plate drivers and keep everyone on the road safe.
Let’s all watch our driving so none of us are injured when crossing a street, out bike riding with friends or family, or driving home from work.
Thank you
Cathy Griffin, Burnaby
