In planning ahead to the federal election, in which climate change will likely play a key role, Greenpeace held a street mural workshop in Burnaby this weekend.

The workshop used clay mixed with water and tempura children's paint, which is an environmentally sustainable material for street art, and is part of the non-profit's planning for a national day of action on Oct. 5 to promote a Green New Deal.

The Green New Deal has been touted by dozens of Canadian non-profits and other groups as a way to transition into a green, sustainable economy while not leaving behind those who work in the fossil fuel industry.
