If you have young ocean lovers in your household, you’ll want to save the date for a fun day of movie screenings at the Tommy Douglas branch of Burnaby Public Library.

On Friday, Sept. 20, the library is hosting a pair of movies screenings as part of Science Literacy Week.

At 3:30 p.m., you can see DisneyNature’s Oceans, a journey into the depths to visit deep water creatures of the sea. It’s a G-rated film that’s recommended for children aged seven and up. (Caregivers must remain with children under 10.)

Then, at 6 p.m. it’s Sharkwater, filmmaker Rob Stewart’s look at the myths and realities of sharks. It’s rated PG.

Both movies are on a drop-in basis, and you don’t need to sign up ahead. For information, call 604-522-3971 or see www.bpl.bc.ca/events.
