Burnaby homeowners unhappy with their property assessments now have more time to appeal it.
The Property Assessment Appeal Board has extended the deadline for its appeals for this year, pursuant to the Ministerial Order 086, from April 30, 2020, to June 1, 2020.
“The board is aware of the state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the effect this may have on parties' accessing their right to appeal to the board,” said a B.C. government news release.
This extension is valid only for appeals that were required to be filed by April 30, 2020, and no other appeals.
