Letter: Burnaby cyclists need to let hikers know they're behind

Many trails in Burnaby are dual use, by hikers and by cyclists.

As a hiker who likes to listen to the radio - with one earbud - while out, it would be safer for all of us if cyclists, who are sometimes travelling at some speed, could give an audible warning when approaching a hiker from behind.

Because bicycles are usually very quiet, a ring on your bell or a shout of "coming through" would be much appreciated.
