Injured eagle released

Here is a happy update to a story we posted on our website ealier this week.

Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society (OWL) volunteer Paul Simpson is pictured releasing one of two eagles Tuesday afternoon on the grounds of Ecole du Bois-Joli in Tsawwassen.

The eagles had been found the day before tangled together on the ground near a path off Weaver Drive. It’s believed they connected in the air and were unable to break apart.

OWL was called and a representative came to the scene. The eagles were taken to OWL’s East Ladner headquarters for repairs overnight before being released the next day.
