Delta libraries hosting Birds Canada program

Wingtips at our Fingertips will be held at the Tsawwassen Library on Friday, March 20 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and at the Ladner Pioneer Library on Thursday, March 26 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

No matter your age or background, birdwatching is a relaxing and educational activity the whole family can enjoy.

You can discover more about the amazing birds of Delta with Birds Canada at Wingtips at our Fingertips tomorrow from 7 to 8 p.m. at the George Mackie Library in North Delta.

The return of migrating birds to our community is a magical time of the year so come learn about some of our local birds, where they migrate to get here and how you can find more birds in our neighbourhoods. Everyone is welcome. Registration is required. Visit www.fvrl.ca to register online.

This program will be repeated at the Tsawwassen Library on Friday, March 20 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and at the Ladner Pioneer Library on Thursday, March 26 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Also, Birdwatching backpacks are available for loan from your library – free with your FVRL card. Each backpack contains a pair of high-quality binoculars with soft case, a pocket guide to birds of North America, a folding pocket guide to familiar species and a laminated birding guide with helpful tips.
