On behalf of the he Delta Farmland & Wildlife Trust and the Westham Island Herb Farm, we would like to express our thanks to all who attended Day at the Farm. We welcomed 4,400 visitors to learn about local agriculture and the critical role farmland plays in wildlife conservation.

Day at the Farm relies on over 75 volunteers each year and we count ourselves lucky to be part of a community where so many people offer their support. To the farmers who helped to guide over 1,300 visitors on hay wagon farm tours, our heartfelt thanks.
We want to thank the participants who shared their time and their knowledge of local soils, agriculture and the vital contribution farms (and farmers) make to wildlife conservation. We especially thank the Richmond/Delta 4H Club. Its calves are always a highlight to our day and meeting the young people who participate in the 4H programs is an inspiration.
Congratulations to the young performers who graced our stage: Brook, Finn, Erin, Liette, Teala and Toby. Each of you performed beautifully and we are already looking forward to hearing you again.
Our baking and jam contests had two guest judges this year, chef Trevor Randel from BC Ag in the Classroom and chef Karen Barnaby from Goodly Foods. They were challenged by the five pies and nine jams presented by our contestants. Our two first place winners, Martha Hoff and Susanne MacDonald, faced stiff competition as each entry was unique and reflected the incredible variety of locally grown fruit.
To the Ellis Family and their team at the Westham Island Herb Farm, we thank you for sharing your farm with all of us and for the tremendous amount of work you put into making Day at the Farm possible.
We hope everyone enjoyed Day at the Farm and that you will continue to support and promote farmland and wildlife conservation in our community.
