Even racing to get to church on a Sunday is not a good excuse to avoid getting a speeding ticket.
According to Delta police, at approximately 10:44 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, while travelling southbound on Highway 99, an officer was passed by a vehicle going well over the posted 100 km/hr.
“The constable registered the vehicle going 150 km/hr through the 10200 block of highway 99,” said DPD on their Facebook page. “When the driver was pulled over, he admitted to travelling at 150 km/hr as he was late for church. The driver was given an excessive speeding violation ticket, and his car was impounded for seven days.”
