The 12th annual Glotman Simpson Cypress Challenge took place on Sunday, Aug. 11 in what has become Canada’s largest fundraising event for pancreatic cancer research and care.

Close to 800 cyclists braved cool, damp conditions to ride 12 kilometres up the Cypress Provincial Park road to raise nearly $500,000 to add to the total of $2.9 million the event has raised since 2008.

The fundraiser was inspired by Glotman Simpson Engineering managing principal Geoff Glotman’s wife, Myriam, who lost her mother, Betty Ergas, to pancreatic cancer. See timing results at cypresschallenge.com.
