Sleepy Gonzales have released a new track, “Steady,” in advance of the launch of their latest EP, Mellowtrauma, on Sept. 27, via Light Organ Records: https://open.spotify.com/album/47HxrAMb4NLoQkcfHFNXZu

Their sound has been described as “suburban sadness drenched in reverb. Or dreamlike melodies backed by raw, tired energy.”

To celebrate the launch, the band are playing a gig on the release date at a secret location. Admission is free. RSVP for location: sleepygonzales.brownpapertickets.com.

They are also performing the next day, Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Shipyards Festival on the North Vancouver waterfront as part of the all-day event (Noon to 10 p.m.), featuring 40 performers on four stages, beer garden and food vendors. Sleepy Gonzales are scheduled to hit the Shipyard Commons Stage at 5:30 p.m.
