If you’re looking for something fun and healthy to do this weekend, the Richmond Olympic Park Run people would love to have you join them.

Combining their third birthday and Halloween, the free, weekly 5K run/jog/walk along the Middle Arm Dyke Trail on Saturday morning will be a “costumed” event.

Participants are encouraged to get out Saturday morning, Oct. 26 and help the Olympic Park Run folks mark their special day with some free cake at the end.

If you'd like to receive a time at the end of your run, you should register online for your free barcode (see below).

But despite the name, you do not need to be a "runner," or even run, because every week, the organizers have a “tail walker,” which means that you won't be last, and there is no pressure to finish quickly.

The Park Run people also welcome dog-walkers, kids and especially volunteers, as they are always in need of helpers.
