Steveston’s Christmas Craft Fair

Looking to get started on your Christmas shopping? Up to 169 vendors will be at Steveston Community Centre’s Net Shed with homemade crafts, baking, jewelry, “foodie” items and more. Admission to the craft fair is by cash donation or donation of a non-perishable food item for the Richmond Food Bank.

10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Anime Evolution presents: Akimatsuri 2019

The annual, one-day event will be held at Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Richmond campus. Featuring traditional Anime Evolution events on a smaller scale: panels, video and AMV showings, gaming, artists and vendors. The event’s style is based on the school, cultural and seasonal festivities held in Japan. Admission is $15 at the door (cash, credit and debit accepted).

1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Bake Sale

Drop by Brighouse Canada Line Station on Sunday for cinnamon buns, other treats and coffee, donated by Grounds for Coffee Vancouver. Proceeds from the bake sale, hosted by Vision Health Volunteers, will go towards the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Half buns will cost $2, and whole buns $3.50.
