Richmond Art Gallery is holding a free opening reception for their latest exhibit, Artrich 2019, which showcases emerging and established artists from Richmond and nearby communities. Some artists will be on-hand at the reception to chat about their creations.

Britannia Shipyards Heritage Christmas Craft Fair

Head to the Shipyards Saturday for the third annual heritage craft fair. This year, the fair will be held in the Seine Net Loft, Murakami Boatworks, Chinese Bunkhouse and Richmond Boatbuilders buildings. The fair will feature nearly 60 local artisans. Some vendors are cash only and there is no ATM on site.

Herring and hake sale

Fishermen Helping Kids with Cancer, run by volunteers from B.C.’s fishing industry, is hosting their annual herring and hake sale this Saturday at Steveston Harbour Authority, located at 12740 Trites Road. Herring is freshly caught in the Gulf of Georgia. A 20lb bag for $15. Cash only. Proceeds go to the BC Children’s Hospital to help kids with cancer.
