Richmond organizations that are eligible can now apply for TD bank’s annual Ready Challenge grant to help support those in need during COVID-19.

TD is hosting their third annual challenge with this year offering a total of $10 million in grants to registered not-for-profits and charitable organizations across North America.

Each grant will range from $350,000 to $1 million each.

Andy Cribb, B.C.’s regional senior vice president of TD, told the Richmond News that the pandemic has affected many communities and this year, the challenge focuses on an inclusive community.

“We know COVID-19 has brought a lot of change and that not all people are impacted equally by the change,” said Cribb, adding that the pandemic has “disproportionately impacted certain populations.”

“We’re looking for organizations that are looking at both today’s immediate needs due to COVID-19, but are also solving the social resilience in a post-pandemic environment.”

Applicants must address at least one of four categories in their solutions – financial security, vibrant planet, connected communities and better health.

Deadline for applications are Aug. 13 with recipient winners to be announced in mid-November.
