Vancouver Coastal Health is reporting a COVID-19 exposure at another Richmond school.

A case of COVID-19 has been identified in Grade 7 at Pythagoras Academy – a private school – according to a letter from VCH, with exposure dates of Tuesday, Oct. 13 and Wednesday, Oct. 14.

The letter was sent to Grade 7 parents, staff and students on Friday.

VCH says it is working with the school to identify any close contacts among staff and students.

“Anyone identified as a close contact will be notified directly by public health and asked to isolate for 14 days from their last date of possible exposure,” the letter reads.

“If you do not receive a call from public health, your risk of exposure is considered low and we do not recommend that you isolate at this time.”

The health authority adds that it will continue to monitor the situation and will “communicate any updates to our recommendations.”
