Western Canada’s largest art portfolio event returns to Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU)’s Wilson School of Design in Richmond for the second year.

KPU is hosting National Portfolio Day for students to showcase their work to top school across North America, France and Britain on Nov. 16.

The free event will give students an opportunity to meet with professionals from schools around the world in the art and design industry and receive feedback and guidance from reviewers on their portfolios, as well as admission information to post-secondary education in art.

“We are honoured to once again host this year’s 2019 National Portfolio Day event,” says Andhra Goundrey, interim dean of the Wilson School of Design.

“We know that applying to art or design schools can be a daunting experience for many students, and we’re happy to be able to open our doors and welcome over 30 prestigious universities and colleges from across North America and Europe to help with the portfolio process.”

The Wilson School of Design and the Faculty of Arts at KPU, along with Parsons School of Design in New York, University of Arts London, School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Paris College of Art are only a few of the 34 schools that will be at this event.

National Portfolio Day will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wilson School of Design – located across from Lansdowne Mall on Kwantlen Street and Lansdowne Road.
