A section of River Road will be closed on Wednesday due to road work.
River Road, east of Gilbert Road, will be closed for 24-hours on July 15 from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. of the same day.
The road closure is part of the city’s River Parkway Capital project where a section of River Road will be raised to connect to the new River Parkway, which in turn will connect Gilbert Road to Cambie Road along the former CP Railway corridor.
Access to businesses along River Road will be available from Cambie Road during the road work.
Measures will be put in place to “minimize noise and light disturbances” during work done at night, according to the City of Richmond.
