Power has been restored to Richmond residents as of 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Over 300 residents across several areas of Richmond were without power in the early afternoon.

Power was cut off around 12 p.m. due to equipment failure, according to BC Hydro.

An outage spanning from south of Cambie Road, north of Lansdowne Road, east of River Road and west of Garden City Road is affecting 367 customers. Crews are on site.

However, outages in the areas of 4300 to 4600 block of No. 3 Road – affecting 78 customers – and 7900 block of Alderbridge Way and 4900 block of No. 3 Road – affecting 26 customers – had crews assigned with no estimate of when power will be restored at the time.

Earlier power outages in the areas of 11200 to 11300 block of Clipper Court and 9800 to 10200 block of No. 6 Road were caused by planned work done to BC Hydro equipment.

Power to two these two areas are expected to come back on by 1:30 p.m.
