Vancouver Coastal Health has added another Richmond school to its COVID-19 exposure list.

The health authority issued an exposure notice on Monday for BC Muslim School, at 12300 Blundell Road.

The dates of exposure are Sept. 11 to Sept. 18.

Exposure notifications are posted when a staff member or student tests positive for COVID-19, and public health is unable to “directly reach all close contacts in a timely manner,” according to a statement on Vancouver Coastal Health’s school exposures webpage.

When health officials are unable to directly reach all close contacts, VCH says it may issue a letter and/or a public notification to contact students, parents and staff.

“If you or your child have been identified as a positive COVID-19 case or close contact, be assured that VCH’s public health team will contact you directly and provide further instruction,” VCH said.

“A notification does not mean your child has been exposed to COVID-19. If you do not receive a phone call or letter from public health, your child should continue to attend school.”

Previously, VCH issued an exposure notice for L’Ecole des Navigateurs.

Meanwhile, McMath secondary recently sent a letter to parents stating there had been an exposure at the school.
