Police have released a video asking for help in their investigation of a suspicious fire.

A fire on Capstan Way in March seems to have been deliberately set and RCMP are posting a video asking the public for information.

After months of collaboration between the Richmond RCMP and Richmond Fire-Rescue, evidence was found to suggest the fire at a business complex in the 8100 block of Capstan Way was “suspicious.”

The suspects seem to arrive in a late-model Mercedes SUV, most likely a G-series variant, explained Richmond RCMP Const. Kenneth Lau.

"This was a brazen act that could have had serious consequences and endangered lives because it was committed shortly before some employees arrive for work, not to mention the financial losses suffered by these businesses,” Lau said.

Police are asking the public to view the video to see if they can give any information about the incident.
