The latest addition to Bizou + Yukon’s brand of Okanagan wines: BEE-zoo Bubbles.

To celebrate the bountiful joys of summer, the Okanagan Crush Pad has unveiled the latest addition to their Bizou + Yukon line of wines. BEE-zoo Bubbles ($24.99) is a refreshing light pink blend of Pinot Noir and other premium grapes from their vineyards in Summerland and Oliver. Its lively personality has tasty strawberry, raspberry, and rhubarb flavours with a kiss of creaminess, cotton candy and orange. All that fruit is held in check by the crisp acidity and the dry finish.

Delicious to enjoy as a solo performer on these lazy hazy crazy days of summer, BEE-zoo Bubbles is going to make a tasty duet with summer appetizers.

Bizou + Yukon is the fourth brand produced by this innovative Summerland winery, which also markets their wines under the labels Haywire, Narrative, and Free Form.

Bizou + Yukon is named after a pair of giant white and fluffy Great Pyrenees dogs, Bizou and her older brother, Yukon that shepherd sheep and guard one of the winery’s properties in Summerland.

When the new brand was unveiled this spring, there were three different wines: Savvy Gris, a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris, Pinkie Rosé, and Savvy Franc, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot.

Each of the original Bizou + Yukon twelve custom labels has art showcasing the dogs and their adventures at ‘The Ranch.’ To celebrate the new addition to the brand, the winery has an exciting contest running through the month of August.

Residents of British Columbia who are 19 years of age or older are invited to get as creative as the Bizou + Yukon labels, and caption a Bizou + Yukon post for a chance to win a trip to the Okanagan. The winner will receive two nights accommodation in Summerland, a pre-paid gas card, a VIP visit for two to the Okanagan Crush Pad to meet Bizou and Yukon, and a private wine tasting at the winery. Contest closes August 31st.

Bizou + Yukon wines are available at the winery in Summerland at 16576 Fosbery Rd. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. When you’re in the area, take a paws. Come for a visit, check out their expanded tastings, and enjoy any one of their flights for a promotional fee of $20 until the end of August. Please make reservations online.

You can also order online where you can enjoy $20 off the cost of shipping for orders of 12 bottles or more.
