Letter: Yes, to Richmond's 'greasy spoon" cafes

Dear Editor, I read with interest the series regarding “greasy spoons.” I have had breakfast at The Boot several time and was happy with the value and quality for money. I will have to go a little further to test the others.

Dear Editor,

I read with interest the series regarding “greasy spoons.” I have had breakfast at The Boot several time and was happy with the value and quality for money. I will have to go a little further to test the others.

One thing is for sure, and that is there is a dire shortage of this type of establishment in Richmond and especially in the Steveston area.

Unfortunately, the cafes available don’t open until 9 a.m., are corporate chains and are just too pricey to qualify as a greasy spoon, or an affordable option for morning coffee.
