Letters: City of Richmond hush is off the deep end

Dear Editor, Thank you for trying to get important health information to the public re the coronavirus at Steveston Pool. It is more than a little disappointing not to be informed by the city on this issue.

Dear Editor,

Thank you for trying to get important health information to the public re the coronavirus at Steveston Pool.

It is more than a little disappointing not to be informed by the city on this issue. If we have to wait for Thursday’s Richmond News to get information, it is not good enough.

In keeping it quiet, news of infection eventually seeps out and the result is us thinking “What else have ‘they’ not told us?” And, “I’d better stay away from all community centres, to be on the safe side.”

Please keep on pressing the powers that be for up-to-date disclosure on this serious issue.

Thank you for your service and commitment.

Editor’s note: As contact tracing was assured, the health authorities did not require the city to notify the public.
