Dear Editor,

Re: “Net loft ‘risky,’ costly to repair,” News, Feb. 13

Your report in the Feb. 13 edition regarding proposed Net Loft repairs certainly got me out of my seat.

$11 million taxpayers dollars that now looks like $20 million to repair an old, falling down, bug-ridden, lead-paint-soaked building that has been badly damaged by decades of sea water.

Are you kidding? Is this April Fool’s Day brought forward?

To say the least, surely, we have much better places to spend the taxpayers coin.

Spend the $1.4 million which, in itself, is ridiculous to demolish this place now.
