Alberta and BC teams crowned champions at 25th West Coast Classic

Richmond Ringette tourney attracted over 75 entries

It was another outstanding weekend of ringette for the 25th annual West Coast Classic.

Hosted by the Richmond Ringette Association, the four-day event attracted teams from throughout BC and Alberta to the Richmond Ice Centre and Minoru Arenas.

The tournament once again showcased the National Ringette League as the hometown BC Thunder welcomed the Edmonton WAM! The teams ended up split the four-game series.

As for the hosts, their Open "A" team took honours after squeezing past Fraser Valley 1-0 in the gold medal game.
