There were cheers as the first trains rolled out of the Coquitlam and Port Moody stations at noon today (Friday).
Premier Christy Clark was joined by MLA Peter Fassbender, the minister responsible for TransLink, and other Tri-City politicians to launch the $1.3-billion Evergreen Extension.
The line is expected to carry up to 70,000 passengers a day.
