The Burnaby Public Library is offering up a series of spooky movies for Fridays in October.

The library’s Tommy Douglas branch (7311 Kingsway) has its Halloween-themed Friday Flicks series on every Friday for the month.

It kicks off Oct. 4 with The Addams Family, starting at 6:30 p.m. On Oct. 11, you can enjoy Hocus Pocus at 6:30 p.m.  That’s followed by Get Out on Oct. 18, also at 6:30 p.m., and The Shining on Oct. 25, at 6 p.m.

Both The Addmas Family and Hocus Pocus are rated PG, but parents must accompany children under 10.  (The other two showings are not rated as suitable for children: Get Out is rated 14A, and The Shining is rated 18A.)
