Post-holiday eating plans may seem far, far away right now as summer winds its way to a close, but when it comes to the first big food event in Vancouver of the new year, now is the time to start planning.
Dine Out Vancouver, the 17-day dining festival, has just revealed its 2020 event will take place from Jan. 17 through Feb. 2, across Metro Vancouver.
DOV is that glorious time of year when restaurants offer special fixed-price menus and other festival features aimed at keeping things humming after the big holiday rush. By giving existing fans a chance to reacquaint themselves with what they can do, and by offering potential new fans an easy way to get to know them, restaurants put together affordable, easily executed menus that entice eaters across the region.
In 2019, more than 300 restaurants participated in Dine Out Vancouver’s special menu offerings, and that number is likely to be around the same for 2020.
Additionally, Dine Out Vancouver puts on several days of food and drink programming of all kinds to keep the city buzzing about our incredible culinary scene. Right now, DOV has the call out for event submissions, but these typically include things like brunches, guided food tours, beer and wine events, the food truck fest in downtown Vancouver and much more.
When: Jan. 17 to Feb. 2, 2020
Where: Participating restaurants and event locations in Metro Vancouver TBA
