The Grandview Steelers are on a three-game win streak entering Sunday's game against the Delta Ice Hawks (7:15 p.m. at the Burnaby Winter Club).

They may not be able to run with the Wolf Pack, but the Grandview Steelers sure can lock it down.

The Pacific Junior B Hockey League team shook off the doldrums of a loss to Langley 10 days ago and have racked up three wins in its stead, leapfrogging over Richmond in the battle for second place in the Tom Shaw Conference.

The latest wins were cases where the goaltending and defence were in fine form.

On Wednesday, Grandview garnered their 19th win of the season in a 4-0 blanking of the White Rock Whalers.

Behind Cale Dolan's rock-steady 24-save performance, the Steelers built its win around efficient offence and steel-drum defence. For the second straight game, 16-year-old defenceman Quinn Myles counted the game-winner, tallying a powerplay goal eight minutes into the contest. Second period tallies by Eric Fuerderer and Michael Martino, with his 12th of the season, made it 3-0 after 40 minutes. In the third, recently acquired forward Michael Milosavljevic counted his eighth of the season but first since joining the Steelers, to complete the offence.

For Dolan, it was his league-leading eighth shutout and 15th win. The team now sits second overall with a 19-8-2-2 record.

A few days earlier, it was Emmet Larson's turn to befuddle the Surrey shooters, posting a shutout in another 4-0 victory.

Myles, Ethan Strik and Lucas Cox, with two, supplied the offence.

Grandview sits well back of first-place North Van Wolf Pack, who own a ridiculous 25-1-0-1 record.

Their next test comes Sunday, 7:15 p.m., when Delta pays a visit to the Burnaby Winter Club.
