Gigalinc: Immersive Gigapixel Photography Exhibit will be held Oct. 13 and 14 at the Shangri-la Hotel's Blue Moon Theatre. Explore and play in the multi-sensory world of immersive gigapixel photography using a Minority Report-style interface GigaLinc is a free exhibition that allows participants to interactively explore largescale panoramic images. Patrons can use hand-gestures, à la Tom Cruise in the movie Minority Report, to explore never-before-seen high-resolution gigapixel images of Vancouver in minute detail on a massive nine-by-five-foot screen. Included in the exhibit is the 2011 Stanley Cup Game 7 Fan Zone crowd gigapixel image, which has garnered international attention. Visit for video and more details.
