Gather for a moment of awe as this 42-foot Christmas tree lights up in Vancouver

One of Vancouver’s much-loved shopping malls will soon twinkle with festive cheer as a stunning 42-feet-tall Christmas tree is lit up to mark the start of the holiday season.

Vancouverites are invited to come together to watch the magical tree light up at CF Pacific Centre on Thursday, Nov. 14. KiSS RADiO personality Tara Jean will lead the interactive tree lighting that’s set to “delight the senses and warm the heart.”

Christmas vibes will be in the air with live music from Top Line Vocal Collective choir and DJ Raven Landry. The event is presented by Starbucks, so you’ll also receive a special gift.

The marquee holiday event is one of several lighting celebrations taking place across Canada at Cadillac Fairview shopping centres.

“Don’t miss out on this wondrous opportunity to ignite the joy, magic and wonder of the holiday season together with our community,” event organizers say.

When: Thursday, Nov. 14, 5:30 p.m. – Arrival and 6:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Official tree lighting
