A brand new gathering focused on plant-based living and eating is hitting Vancouver this weekend, and it’s shaping up to be pretty epic.

The Vancouver Vegan Festival will take place in Creekside Park on July 27, and promises everything from vendors to vibes — good vibes, specifically.

A joint effort from The Vegan Project, Peace People Project, Peaces, and Earthsave Canada, the first-ever Vancouver Vegan Festival will be free and all-ages. The waterfront venue will be packed with over 70 vendors showcasing plant-based food and lifestyle items and apparel, and the day will include live music, speakers, and free yoga.

So far, the guest speaker line-up features:

  •     Internationally-renowned animal rights activist James Aspey
  •     Local chef and business owner Asha Wheeldon of Kula Kitchen
  •     Animal rights lawyer and vegan food activist Anna Pippus of Animal Justice
  •     Zero-waste vegan apparel maker and activist Tosha Lobsinger of Peace People Project
