Trent Miner made 23 saves in the Vancouver Giants 3-2 win over Seattle on Monday afternoon at the Langley Events Centre.

On Monday afternoon in front of over 4,300 strong at the Langley Events Centre, the Vancouver Giants (29-20-3-2) skated to their 10thstraight victory – a 3-2 decision over the Seattle Thunderbirds (21-27-3-3).

Eric Florchuk paced the Giants with a goal and two assists while Bowen Byram and Tristen Nielsen also scored.

Trent Miner stopped 23 of the 25 Seattle shots fired his way. Seattle got their goals from Conner Roulette and Simon Kubicek.

The win for Vancouver, coupled with an overtime loss for the Victoria Royals moves the Giants within a single point of second place in the B.C. Division standings.

They have matched their second longest winning streak in franchise history.

During the 2008/09 season the Giants won 10 straight games twice. The longest winning streak in franchise history is 11 games. That streak ran from Dec. 3, 2008 (4-2 vs. Regina) to Jan. 2, 2009 (2-1 in OT vs. Red Deer).

They can match it with a win on Friday night when the Thunderbirds return to the LEC at 7:30 p.m.
