Coquitlam man charged in connection with alleged drug trafficking network

Jeffrey Donald Lessard, 31, is facing several counts of trafficking fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine and eight more drug charges related to a separate investigation.

A Coquitlam man is one of eight people charged following a lengthy drug investigation the Surrey RCMP said is connected to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict.

Jeffrey Donald Lessard, 31, is facing several counts of trafficking fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine and eight more drug charges related to a separate investigation. 

“Drug trafficking remains a significant contributing factor in gang related violence across the Lower Mainland,” said Surrey RCMP pro-active enforcement officer Insp. Mike Hall. “Together with our partners, we will continue to strategically target individuals and networks connected to the illicit drug trade.”

Mounties said the investigation took place between April and August of 2018 and ended with 51 charges being laid against eight people. The alleged drug trafficking network operated in Surrey and Langley. 

The people charged along with Lessard include:

• Janet Lynn Horvath, 53, of Langley;

• Jonathon Joseph Thomas, 37, of Langley;

• Garrnett Thadeous Flannigan, 35, of Langley

• Joshua James Pellerin, 33, of no fixed address; 

• David John Hudon, 27, of Surrey;

• an 18-year-old female from Delta (who was a youth at the time of the alleged offence);

• and a 17-year-old male youth from Surrey.
