The 42nd annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival is calling you down to the beach for three days of inspiring sounds and killer vibes. This year’s lineup includes Joey Landreth, Locarno, Lucy Rose, Rosie & the Riveters, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, the Dardanelles, Copperhead and more.

The Deighton Cup
It’s the most fashionable day at the races, so don your fascinator and dust off your spats for an elegant afternoon of playing the ponies. The Deighton Cup is about showing off your style, enjoying delicious food and drinks, and taking in live entertainment.

Ali Wong: The Milk & Money Tour
Comedian Ali Wong is (back!) in Vancouver for a four-show stop on her Milk & Money Tour. Catch up with the Always Be My Maybe star and her current comedy. Wong is known for her cheeky, no-holding back takes on race, parenting and womanhood.

Made in the 604 Summer Pop-Up Market
Shopping local never gets easier than at an event that brings small, indie vendors together under one roof for the day. Hit up the Made in the 604 summer pop-up market to get your hands on goods. There will be more than 45 local makers, creators, artists and businesses there.

Thingery: Clothing Repair Cafe
If the holes in your pants are more “Holy crap!” than trendy, instead of ditching the goods, learn how to do some fixer-upping on your threads. This drop-in clothing repair cafe is aimed at promoting ways to keep clothes out of landfills and on our backs — just with some nifty patches or mending. No sewing expertise needed.
