With provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry recommending that indoor and outdoor sporting events, conferences, meetings, religious gatherings and other events that would exceed an attendance of 50 people not take place in B.C., a number of events in Vancouver have been cancelled, postponed or rescheduled.
This list will be updated/amended as the situation changes.
- Monster Jam, which was set for March 14 and 15 at Pacific Coliseum, has been postponed.
- Shen Yun at Queen Elizabeth Theatre March 13 to 22 has been cancelled.

The Contemporary Art Gallery is postponing all events until further notice, including Damla Tamer's performance and Open Studios scheduled for March 14.
- Celtic Fest St. Patrick’s Day Family Event (March 15, Vancouver Art Gallery Square) is cancelled.
- Vancouver International Auto Show (March 25 to 29 at Vancouver Convention Centre) has been postponed.
- Vancouver Recital Society has cancelled all upcoming concerts until the end of March. For more information visit vanrecital.com.
- The Vogue Theatre is temporarily suspending operations until further notice, which has led to a number of upcoming shows getting cancelled or postponed. See a full list here.
- Carousel Theatre for Young People has cancelled all remaining performances of The House at Pooh Corner.
- The Vancouver South African Film Festival, which was scheduled to run March 27 to 29, has been postponed.
- VIVO Media Arts Centre has postponed its BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer) fundraiser and the March 31 iteration of Sticky Impulse: the Poetical is Political will be rescheduled, tentatively for July.
- The Salish Sea Early Music Festival on April 1 featuring Musica Alta Ripa and Friends has been postponed to next season.
- The Stanley Park Easter Train (April 9 to 13) has been cancelled.
- Easter Eggspedition at Van Dusen Botanical Garden, which was scheduled to run April 10 to 12, has been cancelled.
- Sakurka Days (April 18 and 19), which is one of the largest events in the annual Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, has been called off this year.
- Vancouver’s annual 4/20 pot protest/festival, which takes place April 20, has been cancelled.
- Vancouver Opera has cancelled all remaining performances and programs for its 2019-2020 season. This includes Another Brick in the Wall: The Opera and the Vancouver Opera Festival (April 23 to May 9). VOX and Flight of the Hummingbird have been postponed. - Many Vancouver restaurants and bars are closing indefinitely, while others have modified their operations to shift to a take-out only model.
- All downtown Vancouver bars and restaurants have been ordered to close for St. Patrick’s Day March 17.
- The City of Vancouver has closed all community centres, libraries, pools, fitness centres, ice rinks and golf courses.
- VanDusen Botanical Gardens, the Bloedel Conservatory, the Stanley Park train and Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden are all closed until further notice.
- Science World has announced it is closed to the public until April 6.
- Vancouver Aquarium announced March 17 that it is closed until further notice.
- Vancouver Art Gallery is closed until further notice.
- Vancouver’s Contemporary Art Gallery is closed until further notice, and all upcoming events for March and April are postponed or cancelled.
