SkyTrain: the final frontier. These are the voyages the TransLink. And one such voyager was actor and activist George Takei, who was spotted at the Stadium-Chinatown Station in Vancouver Thursday.
Takei, visiting Vancity to take part in this weekend’s Fan Expo, boldly went where lots of Metro Vancouverites go on a daily basis — though most of us aren’t stopped for photos and autographs like this famous octogenarian.
@georgehtakei and Brad Takei @cbcradio @cbc you never know who you’re going to bump into on public transit. @translink @jjfletcha #livelongandprosper my friends 🖖🏾 #startrek #legend #scifi #fanexpo #compasswristband #mrsulu #georgetakei #warpspeed #skytrain #theneedsofthemanyoutweightheneedsofthefew
The Star Trek actor and prominent LGBTQ+ activist (and social media mega-influencer) was taking his ride with CBC Radio Vancouver’s the Early Edition host Stephen Quinn. Takei even got a coveted new Compass wristband strapped on his wrist so he could beam himself through the fare gates at warp speed.
