41st annual Greek Food Festival
Opa! Celebrate all things Greek at the 41st annual Vancouver Greek Food Festival. Hosted by the Hellenic Community of Vancouver, the Greek Food Festival is a major draw each year, bringing in hundreds of people to enjoy the live music, entertainment, history and, of course, loads of food.

May the Fourth be with You at H.R. MacMillan Space Centre
The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre invites earthlings to come dressed as their favourite rebel or empire character to this family Star Wars-themed event. You can make your own glowing light saber and enjoy games, activities and live demonstrations. In addition, the observatory will be open so that guests may view galaxies far, far away.

Playland at the PNE
May is here, and the promise of sunny days and evenings eating cotton candy and riding the roller coaster come with it, as Playland at the PNE opens for the season on May 4. Pick up your passes and get ready to hit the rides and revel in some classic Vancouver fun.

Electric Bicycle’s First Birthday Bash
Mount Pleasant craft brewer Electric Bicycle is celebrating its first birthday with an indoor-outdoor garden (and beer) party. Join them inside or on the patio for barbecue, brews, live DJ sets, dancing and plenty of fun. They’ve teamed up with Public Disco for this epic afternoon to nighttime celebration.

Passion Pit at the Commodore Ballroom
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Passion Pit’s album Manners. The American indietronica group is touring in celebration of the milestone, and will take the stage at Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom. 19+ only.
