Pod almighty: Vancouver Podcast Festival explores true crime and justice this week

Presented by DOXA, the Vancouver Podcast Festival begins Nov. 8 and promises to entertain as well as educate audiences.

With a focus on “True Crime, True Justice,” the festival aims to generate a discussion around the criminal justice system. Featuring podcasts from Canada and the United States, the festival includes live-tapings, workshops, onstage Q&As, panels and more.

Guests can attend single events or purchase a festival pass. While two of the festival pass packages are sold out, they can still purchase the Fan Festival Pass, which includes tickets to all four shows at the Rio Theatre and receive a snazzy VanPodFest tote bag.

The festival runs Nov. 8 to 10 at various locations in Vancouver.

Where: The Rio Theatre (1660 East Broadway), Vancouver Public Library (350 West Georgia St.), The Post (750 Hamilton St.), CBC Vancouver (700 Hamilton St.) and a “secret location”
