Mad Max-athon For Aussie Fire Relief

Get ready for trivia, raffles and door prizes, a 50/50 draw, a costume contest and, most importantly, a chance to send some love, friendship and dollars to those on the front lines of this environmental disaster.

Weathered Beer

Out of the darkness that is winter in Vancouver comes great things, such as  the chance to taste rare and unusual brews with like-minded beer fans. The Weathered Beer Celebration is an "extreme" beer tasting event focusing on the flavours of the season. This year's event will feature beers from more than 50 breweries, with pours of rare and exciting stouts, lambics, barleywines, strong ales, sours/wild ales, as well as some hoppy and lager ales, too. Weathered considers itself more of a "bottle share" style event that offers bottle or can pours, a draft bar, and an art gallery.

When:  Jan. 25 (Session 1: 1 to 5 p.m., Session 2: 7 to 11 p.m.) and Jan. 26 (Session 3: 1 to 5 p.m.)

Where: Heritage Hall, 3102 Main St.
