Sarah McLachlan will host the JUNO Awards broadcast on CBC March 17.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and CBC announced today that West Vancouver singer/songwriter Sarah McLachlan, a 12-time JUNO Award winner and Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee, will take the stage as host of the 48th annual JUNO Awards broadcast at Budweiser Gardens in London, ON, on Sunday, March 17.

Nominees were also named today and several North Shore musicians are up for honours including three in the Vocal Jazz Album of the Year category: Diana Krall (Diana Krall and Tony Bennett - Love Is Here To Stay), Laila Biali (Laila Biali) and Jodi Proznick featuring Laila Biali (Sun Songs); Jazz Album of the Year (Solo): Renee Rosnes (Beloved of the Sky); Instrumental Album of the Year: Gordon Grdina (China Cloud); Blues Album of the Year: Colin James (Miles to Go).
