It’s the most ghoulish time of the year, and there’s no better way to celebrate than marching through East Vancouver in your most spooktacular apparel.

An annual affair, the Parade of Lost Souls offers the chance to join a jovial procession down Commercial Drive that makes its way through the neighbourhood. In keeping with decades-old tradition, however, the exact parade route will be kept a well-guarded secret, announced the midnight before the event.

The parade is free, but it is run by a non-profit organization and donations are encouraged.

Following the parade, event-goers can head to the after-party at the WISE Hall. The popular event is 19-plus and has a marine theme this year. There will be DJs and live performances through the night.

The fun begins on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.

Event times

  •     Parade of Little Souls - (procession for kids) from 7 to 8 p.m.
  •     Parade of Lost Souls - from 8 to 10 p.m. (processions on the hour)
  •     After-Party - from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the WISE Hall, 1882 Adanac St.
