Ready, set: wieners!
Hastings Racecourse and Casino will host the annual Wiener Dog Races this weekend with two days of itty-bitty dashing Dachshund competition.
The tiny doggos will race their way to canine triumph in between live horse racing on Saturday and Sunday.
Live horse racing begins at 1:50 p.m. with dog racing in between. The family-friendly event is free to attend and will also offer food trucks, craft beer and live music trackside all afternoon long.
In this case of “wiener take all,” only one lucky dog will win the $500 cash prize and a Bosleys’ Doggy Prize Pack. To the wiener go the spoils!
There’s no fee to register your dog or participate, and registration is currently open. You may register here.
Arrival and check-in takes place at noon on both days.
