B.C. Beer Wars returns to Vancouver’s Croatian Cultural Centre this Saturday

Pints and fights on tap at annual charity boxing event

Nothing beats a pint and fight, especially when it’s all for a good cause. This Saturday, your favourite craft brewers and beer industry personalities will be lacing up the gloves (actually, I think they’re Velcro now), stepping in the ring and pummeling each other for our entertainment… and to raise money for Eastside Boxing Club’s afterschool programs.

B.C. Beer Wars is a non-profit event put on by Vancouver Craft Beer Week and Eastside Boxing Club, where the amateur fighters have been training since January for the big night. The event kicks off at 2 p.m. this this Saturday, April 13, at the Croatian Cultural Centre in Vancouver, with fights starting at 3 p.m. and continuing all day, until 10 p.m.

Single tickets start at $49 and there are still a few left, but you’d better hurry. Close to 20 craft breweries will be serving beer throughout the day, so obviously, this is a 19+ event, and you’re going to need two pieces of ID. Get your tickets online here before they sell out.

Here’s the tentative lineup for Saturday:

  • Nick Serbedzua (Parallel 49) vs Josh Ruddock (Resurrection Spirits)
