No need for a ferry when Salt Spring Island heads to Vancouver

Salt Spring’s famed Saturday Market takes to the road to feature local makers, creators, designers and artisans on the mainland

For many, Salt Spring Island — and its world-famous Saturday Market — has become a favourite destination year after year.

And, at least according to the Washington Post, this artists’ colony is also Canada’s “coolest island.”

But while it’s a favourite destination for many, others just haven’t had the opportunity to visit this west coast island paradise. But there’s good news for those who haven’t yet made the trek – Salt Spring is bringing its Saturday Market to Vancouver’s Heritage Hall on Main Street March 23 to 25.

Made on Salt Spring, a curated indoor market, features the products of dozens of makers, creators and designers bringing a piece of the “Rock” with them.

Made on Salt Spring provides a unique opportunity to meet a talented community of inspirational creators the week before the Saturday Market opens on the island. And now’s your chance to discover the wares of woodworkers, designers, jewellers, weavers, and artisans.
